  • Shane - Director

    After leaving school Shane completed an apprenticeship in Boilermaking with the company GEC. Shane worked with various companies over the following 10 years including Evans Deakin and ANI. Shane went and worked at Union Steel doing Programming. During this time Shane started working on the side on weekends and at night in his back yard shed doing steelwork for shopfitting. In 1999 Shane left Union Steel and ventured out on his own and that was the start of Cummins Engineering.

  • Jenny - Accounts

    After many years out of the work force Jenny completed a MYOB course and took over all office work relating to Cummins Engineering. Jenny also is responsible for the apprentices with their college and training.

  • Luke - Day Shift Supervisor

    Luke first started at Cummins Engineering working on weekends with Shane. Soon after Luke started his apprenticeship and in his final year was in the top 5 for Apprentice of The Year with TAFE QLD. Luke is our day shift supervisor, and he specialises in programming CNC and running all CNC mills and lathes.

  • Keith - Night Shift Supervisor

    Keith is our longest serving employee at Cummins Engineering. After school Keith completed an apprenticeship as a Fitter and Turner. Keith is our afternoon shift supervisor who specializes in running all CNC machines. Keith has a particular expertise in the manual lathe and CNC lathe.

  • Jason - Boilermaker

    Jason completed his apprenticeship in Boilermaking Heavy Fabrication with a company called ANI. Jason has also worked at RPG before starting at Cummins Engineering. Jason specialises in Thermal Cutting and Welding.

  • Will - Tradesman

    Will came to Cummins Engineering as a 2nd year apprentice Cert III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Maintenance). v Will completed his apprenticeship and is a fully qualified tradesman. Will specialises in both CNC and manual machining centres.

  • Lachlan - Tradesman

    Lachlan completed his apprenticeship with Cummins Engineering and is part of our afternoon shift. Lachlan has knowledge of all the CNC machines but really specailises working on our Super Tornado.

  • Clayton - Tradesman

    Clayton was offered an apprenticeship after his trial period was completed. Clayton has recently finished his apprenticeship and now is a fully trained Tradesman. Clayton specialises in working our biggest machine the” Amazon” - and he also enjoys working all the CNC Mills.

  • Ayden - Apprentice - 2nd year

    Ayden completed a two-year school base traineeship in Engineering Mechanical Trade (Fitting) in year 11 and 12. After school Ayden became employed full time with Cummins Engineering to complete the rest of his apprenticeship.

  • Chris Mutanda

    Chris moved from Perth, Western Australia to Qld in September. Chris started with Cummins Engineering soon after. Chris is a 4th year apprentice in Engineering Mechanical Trade (maintenance - Fitting and/or Turning.) Previously Chris worked in the Mines as an underground fitter. Chris shows great workmanship running our Maho, Lathe and Kappa machining centres.
